After having recently completed his PhD in musicology at Berlin’s Technische Universität, Uri Rom will present papers on his research topics at the 7th European Music Analysis Conference (EUROMAC), the annual meeting of the American Society for Music Theory (SMT) in cooperation with Dr. Saharon Rosset of the Department of Statistics and Opertaions Research, Tel-Aviv University and the annual meeting of the Israel Musicological Society. La Vita Nova by Dante Alighieri - Uri Rom set to music this early work by Dante for a production of the Renaissance Theatre Berlin. The production, combining elements of chamber opera and theatre, had its first performances on March 14th in Leverkusen on behalf of Bayer Kultur and on March 20th at the Renaissance Theatre Berlin and was highly acclaimed by audience and press.
